We are hiring an agile Business Analyst with exceptional facilitation skills and prior experience in data, BI and reporting to lead business and impact analysis, and requirements engineering within the data and reporting domain of our portfolio.

Experience of facilitating within Agile/Scrum is essential, as the role is accountable for running group sessions to deliver high quality documentation on user stories, product backlogs, workflows and processes while supporting our iterative delivery strategy.

The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with Scrum team members (Developers, QA, Scrum Master) as well as engaging Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders and playing an active role in the wider Business Analysis community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring objectives and success measures/outcomes for work are clearly defined and consistently communicated
  • Working with teams to build and maintain high Product Backlog(s) within the Data & Reporting domain of our Commercial IT portfolio
  • Effective facilitation of sessions to elicit requirements in order to populate backlog and break stories down for delivery
  • Ensuring comprehensive stakeholder analysis and definition of user roles
  • Impact analysis, including:
    • System dependencies and impact/change
    • Business process dependencies and impact/change
    • Data definitions, inputs/outputs, storage, transformations
    • Operational impact and ongoing support needs
    • Security, capacity and legal implications and forward planning
  • Eliciting and communicating issues and risks, engaging appropriate resources to present a range of solution options
  • Documenting requirements and processes to appropriate level of detail (user stories, process modelling)
  • Providing subject matter/process guidance and expertise where required

What we are looking for from you:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Proficiency with data, reporting and visualisation tools, such as PowerBI
  • Prior experience/knowledge of Salesforce CRM is desirable
  • Experienced in creating user stories and acceptance criteria using iterative planning techniques
  • Strong track record of facilitation with multiple, diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proactive in taking ownership and responsibility
  • Happy in a leadership role
  • Experience of working with enterprise level systems
  • Employing flexibility and pragmatism in approach to work and communications
  • Confident and tenacious with senior stakeholders and technical staff
